Glacier Walk and South Coast
This tour will take you to Sólheimajökull glacier on the south coast. We start early morning by picking you up at your accommodation in Reykjavík. The tour takes us along the south coast, past Eyjafjallajökull glacier - and on to our base at Sólheimajökull.
Sólheimajökull glacier is an outlet from Mýrdalsjökull, the fourth largest glacier in Iceland. The glacier covers about 600 km2. Below the glacier lies the volcano Katla, one of the biggest volcanoes in Iceland.
After providing you with the necessary safety equipment and a short lesson in ice walking we head onto the glacier. Our route goes over amazing terrain with crevasses, sink holes and ice ridges.
On the return trip we make a stop at the magnificent waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.

It was kind of the highlight of the whole trip. We were only five people in this minibus. The guide Harry was PERFECT.. a real delight. I very highly recommend this company.
