ATV, DC3 Plane Wreck and south coast waterfalls

This tour is a combination of the South Coast tour and the ATV quad bike tour. Tour starts early by a pick-up at your accommodation in Reykjavik. Then we head along the South coast on our way to the quad bikes location.

The Quad tour begins at the ARCANUM base where we go over the tour plan and the safety instructions. When leaving the base for the coast, we cross a few small rivers as we head down to the magnificent black sand fields which have been formed by glacial outbursts from the dormant volcano Katla.

Down at the black beach we are able to enjoy the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier and also along the coast to the southernmost part of Iceland, the small peninsula Dyrhólaey.

On we go along the coast to stop by the famous aircraft wreck which has been resting on the sand since the year 1973.

Upon the return to the base we drive by the river Jökulsá to the foot of the mountain, which we follow back to the base.
On this tour you get in touch with the raw black lava sand landscape by the south coast. It is an unforgettable experience of conflicting landscapes where the nature envelopes the traveler in its warm embrace.

On the return to Reykjavík we make a stop by the magnificent waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.

This was such a good experience!! Chilled start to the day with a drive and climb to a waterfall then off to the beach on the ATVs. I was a little nervous never having ridden one but the staff talked me through it and I as off!! Covered all terrain and saw the plane, it was crazy fun!! Would for sure recommend!
